هاروی الیوت هافبک جوان لیورپول، فاش کرد به دلیل علاقه خانوادهاش به باشگاه لیورپول، پیشنهاد رئال مادرید را رد کرد.
به گزارش “ورزش سه”، هاروی الیوت فاش کرده که حمایت خانوادهاش از لیورپول در متقاعد کردن او برای پیوستن به این باشگاه در سال 2019، با وجود علاقه رئال مادرید، تاثیرگذار بود.
الیوت پس از دو بازی تعویضی برای فولام، به عنوان یک بازیکن 16 ساله به لیورپول پیوست. این هافبک پیش از این فاش کرده بود زمانی که رئال مادرید در حال مذاکره بود، از برنابئو بازدید کرده است. الیوت مدعی شد که پس از مصدومیت محمد صلاح در فینال لیگ قهرمانان اروپا در سال 2018، فرصت دیدار با سرخیو راموس، کاپیتان وقت رئال مادرید را رد کرد!
از این بازیکن 20 ساله در مورد علاقه رئال مادرید در پادکست ما لیورپول هستیم (We Are Liverpool) پرسیده شد و الیوت فاش کرد که خانوادهاش جهت متقاعد کردن او برای پیوستن به قرمزهای آنفیلد نقش کلیدی داشتند. الیوت گفت: “نزدیک بود که به مادرید بروم و بعد فکر میکنم لیورپول وارد شد. به محض اینکه شنیدم آنها وارد مذاکره شدهاند، همین اتفاق افتاد. قلبم به خاطر اینکه طرفدار لیورپول بودم، درگیر این موضوع بود، مانند تمام خانواده.”
این هوادار لیورپول، برای تماشای بازی قرمزها در فینال لیگ قهرمانان مقابل مادرید به کیف سفر کرده بود. الیوت در مصاحبه جدیدش در این باره توضیح داد: “رویای پدرم این بود که خودش برای لیورپول بازی کند، اما آرزویش برآورده نشد. برادر کوچکم هم یکی از طرفداران بزرگ لیورپول است، احتمالاً یکی از بزرگترین هوادارانی که در زندگیام دیدهام، او همیشه اطلاعاتی به من میگوید که حتی آن را نمیدانم. چیزی که نقش مهمی را ایفا کرد، مربوط برادر و خواهرم بود، حرکت دادن آنها به اطراف، این یک فرهنگ جدید و زبان متفاوت بود و آنها هم سن کمی داشتند. مستقر شدن برای من مشکل خاصی نبود، فقط مربوط به خانوادهام بود و فقط میخواستم آنها به اندازه هر چیزی خوشحال باشند.”
الیوت در طول فصل جاری در 41 بازی برای لیورپول به میدان رفته و 5 گل به ثمر رسانده و 2 پاس گل داده است.
